On May 11, for one night only a menagerie of Los Angeles artists joined for LA is Paradise. The show celebrated the diverse talent of the Los Angeles art world. A wide range of artists, spanning different decade were chosen to represent the city.
“The show features an eclectic group of artists from LA who have never been seen in one place. We’re excited to present them in a format that is free, accessible, independent, and open to the entire city of Los Angeles,” said Remy Holwick, one of the creators of the show.
LA is Paradise featured artists that have previously shown in the Getty, the Whitney, LACMA, MOCA and numerous LA galleries. The artists were chosen based on their prevalence and impact in the LA art scene. Artists included: Kirk Alley, Johnpaul Altamirano, Van Arno, Anthony Ausgang, Gary Baseman, Birdman, Paul Dillion, Johnnie Dominguez, Lydia Emily, Korin Faught, Tony Friedkin, Lydia Hearst, HOMORIOT, Wayne Holwick, Kevin Llewellyn, Kenny Scharf, Robert and Suzanne Williams and more.
