One of the more luxurious tent events at Art Basel Miami Beach this year was The Arts Fund Expo curated by White Walls Gallery out of San Francisco. Situated in the amazing W Hotel South Beach – this event offered a level of class and sophistication that others in the area could only dream of.
The official tent space was located right beside the W’s outdoor pool, and offered visitors a chance to see some of the best artistic talent from around the globe.
The impressive show featured established street artists such as Dan Witz, Blek le Rat, Eddie Colla, and ABOVE. These are some true power players in the street art game, and was a testament to the curatorial power Justin Giarla brought to the show.
David le Batard – also known as LEBO – brought his fine art works to the show in the exclusive W Artist Residences – along with those of artists Mindy Linkous, Kofie One, Eddie Colla, Casey Gray, and Robert Christian Malmberg. Cocktail hour was daily during Basel week at the residences, where visitors and the artists mingled over Champaign and hors d’oeuvres.
Artist Aaron Nagel brought his latest contemporary realist pieces to the show, once again showing why he is currently one of America’s top oil painters. His pieces set a new bar for other artists to aspire, in both context and skill.
Other featured artists included The Clayton Brothers, Kevin Cyr, the amazing fine art oil street based works of Jessica Hess, HUSH, Greg Gossel, Ferris Plock, and D Young V.
