Barry McGee Installation for Oakland Museum of California’s Gallery of California Art – Warholian

Barry McGee is well known as a street artist who has been widely accepted by the museum community worldwide. His pattern-work installations bring forth both uniformity and chaos, intertwined with unique color play.

Recently the Oakland Museum of California commissioned McGee to create an installation for their newly remodeled Gallery of California Art. Here’s a nice little video shot by the museum itself featuring the installation process.

We highly recommend stopping by the Oakland Museum of California to see the beauty of this installation in person.
