In the summer of 2009 Banksy took on the Bristol Museum. The internationally established graffiti artist put forth another landmark show that shows not only new levels in his skill, but also pushed the boundaries of what an art medium can be. Forget spray paint, this show cleverly incorporated animatronics and turned art visitors into spectators.

“It is to be hoped that the artist will move further in this direction. But in the meantime, Banksy Versus Bristol Museum succeeds triumphantly in its aim: it’s a museum show that is as cheeky and renegade – and communicates as directly with its viewers – as a piece of illegal graffiti.” – Telegraph UK
